Nursing Home Odors
Nursing homes odors are not an easy problem at all to control in most cases as they occur in so many locations and are of an unpredictable, yet constant, nature. Nursing home odors get into the bedding, the walls, the carpets and the furniture and are stubborn and difficult to try and shift through the use f normal cleaning supplies and air fresheners. Nursing home odor control is needed in all the normal and expected places such as the patient’s bedrooms, the restrooms and the kitchens, though there needs to be a solution put in place for all the other situations such as medical attention and unsanitary laundry, as well as all the mishaps and accidents that may occur in any other place and at any other time. Electronic ozone generators allow for us to eliminate these nursing home odors and create a fresh and inviting environment that is available all the time, for both the staff and the guests to feel comfortable in. The ozone devices create ozone molecules through the application of a great amount of power on to the oxygen molecules that occur in the air around us and then releasing them into the room. Once the oxygen molecules are released they have a short half life span of only 20-30 minutes and will then begin to naturally break down back into their original oxygen atom components. Once the ozone has broken down the oxygen molecules will purify the air by attaching to any nursing home odors they find around them and neutralizing the negative ions so that they will then disperse back into the atmosphere after any individual characteristics, odor or pollutants have been eliminated by the oxygen. Nursing home odors occur in care facilities where the guests tend to have a lot of medical problems and spend a great deal of time in their beds and, as well as having the normal body odors to deal with, will also have more than average food and drink spills, and bodily fluid accidents. These, as well as being unpleasant to smell, will have microorganisms present which will multiply and cause bacteria and toxins to thrive in the location. This is a very important reason for nursing home odors to be dealt with strictly and immediately as they can cause more complications to the residents’ health and happiness as well as the comfort of all visitors and staff around them.
